Officially In Love
Got to drive the Cruiser to Long Beach last night and I am officially in love with it. So easy to drive - I felt that I had never been off the road. Definitely feels like MY car. Fun, fun, fun. I had no reservations about going from not driving to getting on the 405 and felt very comfortable in the driver's seat. It's where I belong. Fortunately, it won't be long now before I'm fully legal. It's strange having a learner's permit again, but all of my friends are very helpful and most have individually volunteered to come over and ride shotgun while I practice my skills. And if they are afraid,...
DMV Progress
The Hearing officer called me yesterday to ask me a bunch more detailed questions about my seizures, how I felt about my driving safety, etc.. The interview must have gone well because she just called back to tell me I have a drive test scheduled for 9/9. Woot! This I can pass in my sleep. However, I am the only person who has not driven my Cruiser, so now I need to get out there and practice. I know I can parallel park, but that is not going to be their focus. Fortunately, I have to go to Long Beach on Wednesday nights, so I will just have the do the driving until then unstead of my faithful...
Yes, it hurt
Oddly enough, the outline hurt the most. The filling in part was just mildly unpleasant except for the head and the tail for some reason. But, it was worth it, he is gorgeous. exactly what I wanted and I ended up putting him on my right upper hip/thigh so I could look at him whenever I please. Flying home in jeans today was a bit sore at the crease, but overall not too bad. Of course after 4 double screwdrivers and a valium, what could be bad? ;) This time Jim and David were the last ones on the plane, but we all made it together. The temp here is much more to my liking, but I am missing the...
Aloha Daylene!
Daylene is very much with me on this trip. I have been thinking about her a lot (not unusual), but today when I walked in the Tat shop, the woman at the counter actually had my dragon IN HER HAND. Hahahahahaha. Daylene had gotten there ahead of me and prepared things. I have an appointment at noon tomorrow. The artists were tired and working hard, I'd rather get them fresh first thing in the day. Even Jim got a kick out of that one and he knows how this Tat is tied in to Day, so he's not too upset I'm getting it in spite of his objections to me inking my body. It will look fabulous, I...
