The Boston freak show
Today, the Gathering of Eagles flocked to Boston where a loose conglomeration of anti-military groups (and other nutjob freaks like the 9/11 truthers and the "free palestine" freaks) conducted an anti-military freak show in front of the Military Recruiting Station on Tremont Street, across the street from Boston Common. Among the freak groups that participated was the local freak chapter of the iraq "veterans" against the war! I was told the organizers of this freak show expected 2,000 people, but at best they had less than 100! Most, obviously, were young brainwashed college students who...
 
Retirement
This past Tuesday, July 29th, I officially retired from the Massachusetts Army National Guard. I served for 27 years, 4 months, and 19 days, to include a 15 month active duty period in which almost a year of that was spent over in Iraq. I was a young stud senior in HS when I joined the Guard back in 1981. Back then, I fully expected I’d be fighting the evil soviet union on the plains of Germany someday!
