While attending Stillwater High she was active in the vocal music program under the direction of Steve Maison. Long-time Stillwater residents will remember her as Tuptim in Maison's production of The King and I, and Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls. Lynette went on to pursue a bachelor of music in vocal performance and church music at Oklahoma Baptist University, and later a master of music in vocal performance and pedagogy at OSU. In addition to Tuptim and Sarah Brown, Lynette's operatic and musical theater roles include, Despina in Cosi fan tutti, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Miss Pinkerton in The Old Maid and the Thief, Josephine in HMS Pinafore, Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes, Laurie in Oklahoma!, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, The Third Lady in The Magic Flute, The Scorceress in Dido and Aeneas, and most recently, Katisha in the OSU theater department's production of The Mikado. She has also been a soloist in Mozart's Requiem, and in Handel's Messiah. Her musical interests and work are now focused on research and writing about the 18th century English soprano, Anna "Nancy" Storace, who was Mozart's original Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro. Lynette is a featured artist/soloist in the soon to be released documentary film from Rhombus Media, Mozart Lives! .
Lynette currently resides in Stillwater with her partner, Steph Waller and son Joel, and Lynette's three children, Lauren, Heather, and Nathan.
